3M Graffiti Premium Protective Overlay Film Series 1160 is a durable, high-performance, solvent-resistant, transparent film with pressure sensitive adhesive which is applied as a graffiti protective overlay to signs made from 3M reflective sheetings.

As a protective overlay, this film is a barrier to staining by many types of graffiti including spray paint, permanent markers, lipstick, etc., and can be cleaned using selected solvent wiping.

If graffiti is sprayed onto a screen printed sign that does not have 3M Protective Overlay Film 1150 or 3M Premium Protective Overlay Film 1160 applied, then the sign will be irrevocably damaged when the graffiti is removed.

It is critically important that graffiti be removed from a sign as soon as possible.

Prolonged exposure to the sun will bond the graffiti to the sign and make its removal without sign damage very difficult.

Signs cleaned with any other product than the wet, detergent type referred to on the 3M website (www.3m.com) must be inspected.

Inspection must take place at night from a vehicle using the vehicle headlights, to ensure the sign is still acceptably reflective. It is not possible to evaluate the reflectivity of a sign during daylight using eyesight alone. Sign Dating Stickers are an easy and cost effective way to manage sign retro-reflectivity.
