3M's linear delineation system is designed for the linear reflectorization of concrete barriers and metal guardrails. LDS panels enhance driver safety where there is a need to call attention to a changed or changing condition such as an abrupt roadway narrowing or curvature, or to provide guidance through a work zone. Common applications include: Curved Roadways, Tunnel Approach, Entrance and Exit Ramps, and Bridges.

- Sheeting is laminated onto a thin gauge of aluminum and formed to a unique shape which provides retroreflection across a very wide range of entrance and observation angles.
- Linear Delineation System Panels are an economical and durable solution for the linear reflectorization of concrete barriers and metal guardrails.
- Compatibility: Designed to fit into Metal Guardrails troughs and can also be used on Concrete Barriers.
- Installation on Guardrails: Peel off the VHB adhesive tape and stick to guardrail surface. Surface must be clean and free of debris for proper adhesion. See Installation Guide for more information.
- Installation on Concrete Barriers: 3M Spray 90 Adhesive must be used to unify the surface and improve the tape bond. See Installation Guide for more information.

About Delineators
Delineators are beneficial at locations such as at lane-reduction transitions and curves and provide effective guidance at night and during adverse weather conditions. Refer to the MUTCD for more information.

Retroreflective elements for delineators shall have a minimum dimension of 3 inches.

Delineators are considered guidance devices rather than warning devices.

Delineators may be used on long continuous sections of highway or through short stretches where there are changes in horizontal alignment.
Color Definitions

WHITE: Lane markings or to mark the right pavement edge.

YELLOW: Separate traffic moving in opposite directions, or mark the left pavement edge on one-way roadways.

RED: Used to warn motorists of "Do Not Enter" or "Wrong Way". Also, delineators shall be red when used on a truck escape ramp.

BLUE: Used to mark the location of fire hydrants on the shoulder or at the curb.

GREEN: Used for snowplow markings.

ORANGE: Used in construction work zone areas.
